Should I choose a spa or a swim spa?

A spa suits relaxing, hydrotherapy and time with family or friends, and it is what the stocked Xenflo South West Collection covers today. A swim spa suits swimming and exercise as well as relaxing, and needs considerably more space. Swim spas are not part of the stocked Xenflo range just yet, but they can be custom-made to order.

How many seats should I choose?

The Xenflo South West Collection currently includes five- and seven-seat spas, and you can filter the range by the number of people. Choose for how you will actually use it most weeks rather than the largest gathering you can imagine — a smaller spa heats and fills faster and takes up less of the backyard.

What space and access should I check before delivery?

Measure the complete route, not just the gate — gate and door widths, tight turns, eaves, branches, air-conditioning units, meters, steps, slopes, soft ground and overhead powerlines. Allow room for the spa itself plus clear access on all four sides for servicing. Send us photos and measurements of the tightest points and the final spa position so we can plan the approach with you.

What sort of base does a spa need?

Accepted Answer

The base must be flat, stable and level, and provide continuous support beneath the entire base of the spa — never small blocks, wedges or shims. It also has to carry the weight of the spa, the water and everyone in it. Refer to the specifications for your exact Xenflo model, and speak with a qualified builder or engineer for decks, raised structures or ground you are unsure about.

What electrical work is required?

A licensed electrical contractor must complete any supply, isolation and connection work. The requirement varies by model — each spa in the range lists its power requirement on its model page — so confirm it for your exact model before your delivery date.

Do features like Wi-Fi control or heat-pump compatibility vary by model?

Yes — equipment and available options differ between models, and some features are optional rather than standard. Check the brochure on the model page and confirm with the Eduardo's team what is included with the exact spa you are considering before you order.

How much maintenance does a spa need?

Accepted Answer

Most weeks it is a quick water check, a wipe and the cover back on. Keep the water balanced and sanitised and test it regularly, rinse the filters, keep the water line and cover clean, and leave the cover on when the spa is not in use. Water is changed fully at sensible intervals rather than constantly.

Do I need council approval or safety barriers?

Requirements vary by property, by model and by local government area. Check with your local council or shire before any site work begins, and confirm the current WA barrier requirements that apply to your property.

What should I consider before buying a spa?

Where it will go across the whole year — privacy, outlook, sun, wind, shade and how far you will walk from the house — how many people you realistically want to seat, the base and drainage, the delivery route, and the electrical work.
